Spacing problems on documents
Problem: I have set up a number of cover letters but I am unable to stopthe Customer address, date, order reference and salutation fields bunchingup with no lines between them. When viewed via cover letter maintenace all seems fine but when they print they bunch. Am I supposed to use the EDIT->LINE EDIT option to insert lines, if so how do I get the insert line before or after option to Highlight.


Solution:It may be that the Line feeds that are in your cover letter are marked as hidden. Hidden attributes look as if they are underlined. The placemarkers for any data point are usually marked as hidden. To see the line feeds simply go to the View menu and click on Paragraph Markers. This is while you are viewing the cover letter. You should then see the line feeds at the end of the line. If these are Underlined, you will need to remove the Hidden Attributes.
To do so, simply select the entire line and press CTRL-H. Then reselect the field value (example: {FIELD:OrderNumber} and press CTRL-H top make that as hidden). Do this for every field where the End of Line marker is hidden. Then save the cover letter and test it. It should resolve your problem.
